Indian brand is in a bad way on Twitter. #BoycottMyntra was firing as one of the top trends on the microblogging site in India on Aug 26. The Flipkart-possessed lifeystyle site Myntra is confronting Twitterati's anger over an indicated Lord Krishna advertisement.
The organization has nothing to do with the 'said advertisement'. The "promotion" demonstrated the well known 'Cheer Haran' scene from Hindu epic Mahabharata, where eldest of the Kauravas, Duryodhana, is uncovering Draupadi, spouse of the Pandavas, in the court. It demonstrates Lord Krishna, who acted the hero of Draupadi, shopping on Myntra for 'additional long sarees'.
Myntra soon discharged an announcement on Twitter saying that it has nothing to do with the advertisement. "We didn't make this work of art nor do we underwrite this," said the site in a Tweet
