Men across the world actively participate every year in No shave- November campaign. It is an initiative started by the Movember foundation charity in 2009 to raise awareness about prostrate and testicular cancer and also mental health issues such as depression .
Till date the organization has raised over $2 million dollars. The money is being used to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle. As part of initiative men avoid shaving and grooming in November and let it grow wild and free.
They actively embrace their hair and spend the expenses saved to cancer patients who have lost their hair during chemotherapy treatments. Many men actively take up the challenge globally.

At present, No shave November campaign is actively associated with 4 organizations to achieve the mission. This includes American Cancer Society, Prevent Cancer Foundation, Fight Colorectal Cancer community and St Jude childrens research hospital.
