Not long
ago, we have come across a generous Surat diamond merchant who gifted 400flats
and 1260 cars to the best-performing employees, another story surfaced online.
Govind Dholakia, a Gujarati-based diamond merchant took 1200(300 employees and
their families) people with all paid expenses on a 10 day trip to Uttarakhand. He had also
declared 15 day holiday for his employees .Dholakia owns the Surat and
Mumbai-based Shree Ramakrishna Exports.
He booked
a special AC train at the cost of 90lakhs for the tour. According to one of the
employees, Dholakia referred as “KAKAJI” by his staff members treats them as
his family members and travels with them in the holidays. Last year too, he has
taken on a similar trip to Rishikesh. It is also learned that the group does
social work on holidays. As a part of this, on Thursday they cleaned the
Swargashram in Rishikesh with the help of the Nagar Panchayat, while Friday
they visited the Sahastradhara Falls near Dehradun.
Manish
Rajput, an associate of the Swargashram Nagar Panchayat told that the group
came to Rishikesh on October 30 and celebrated Diwali. He said that the group
had offered to clean the Ganga after meeting the Panchayat chairperson
Shakuntala Devi and cleaned almost a 500-metre stretch. It is learned that
Dholakia does not like to publicize the initiatives. The experience is
cherished by all employees and their families and they went back refreshed and
rejuvenated.
