Upgrade your Redmi Note 3 to Marshmallow or Nougat with these two simple ways

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box with customized MiUI v.7.0. Since then Xiaomi hasn't brought a major upgrade to the software except the MiUI 8.1 which is again based on Android 5.1.1. Recently Xiaomi announced the Marshmallow update for Redmi Note 3 but might take more time to reach your phone. If doesn't like to wait for the update and wanted to experience the Marshmallow or Nougat performance on your phone right now, you can follow these 3 simple ways. The first one is described in text version and second and third are describe in the video. So, follow the steps carefully.

Upgrade to Marshmallow 6.0

Using Android 6.0 Marshmallow Remix Resurrection Rom and Gapps:

• First, you need to download the Android 6.0 Marshmallow Remix Resurrection Rom. You can download it from this link
• Next, download Gapps tool from this website
• Next switch off your phone and enter the recovery mode on your Redmi Note 3 (do it, clicking your volume up button and a power button at the same time)
• Then choose install option and flash the two zip files downloaded earlier.
• When you are ready, your phone will factory reset.  Rebooting will allow you to start using your smartphone again

Upgrade to Android Nougat 7.0
