Rumors about the next-generation Apple watch started to pour in and a new report emerged from the Chinese Economic daily via Digitimes that states Apple's third generation Apple watch will be released in the third quarter (Q3) of 2017. The report cites that New apple watch will be focussing on:
- Improving battery life
- Overall performance.
The report also claimed Taiwan-based Quanta to be the manufacturer of the new Apple watch which happens to be the manufacture of first and second generation Apple watch. According to the report, there will not be any major changes in the device hardware.
The report further brings an end to the earlier rumors for the third generation device that pitched in for the introduction of significant device changes. Apple third generation watch is reported to incorporate more advanced sensors that are missing in the first and second generation Apple watch.
Previous rumors have claimed to introduce cellular connectivity in third generation apple watches the feature that got missing in the second generation due to battery concerns. Also, reported is the incorporation of potential micro-LED displays that are lighter and thinner than the current screens and offers a wide range of colors and improved brightness.
Earlier Apple has also filed a patent that showed the possibility of apple watch determining a user's identity through their heart rate. Future models are also rumored to incorporate haptic feedback into watch bands that free the internal space and for other components and facilitate a thinner body design.
