Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) launched a free voice plan that offers free local and STD calls for three months at RS 439. BSNL has become the latest entrant into the aggressive price war started by Reliance Jio with free voice and data offers. With stiff competition going on among the telecoms the consumers are being the ultimate beneficiaries.


STV 439: Offers Unlimited Local and STD calling to any network for a period of 3 months
STV 149: Offers Unlimited Local and STD calling to any network for a period of 1 month
Offer valid for New sim holders and MNP customers
Daily FUP limited to 30 mins
The state-run Telecom BSNL has said that Initially it is providing the plan as a promotional offer for new prepaid customers, which comes with a validity of one month and users need to pay only Rs 149 to avail free voice and STD calls. However, as fair usage policy, the calls to other networks are limited to 30 minutes per day (Local and STD)
Anupam Shrivastava, BSNL CMD said that the offer will be available throughout India from January 24. The offer will be applicable to new customers and also for customers who port to BSNL from other operators under Mobile Number Portability (MNP).
He further added that more customers are tending towards BSNL and that resulted in the growth of company's market share by 1% since March. Even though there has been a brutal competition in the competitive telecom space Market.
The consumers can purchase the plan from channel partners, retail distributors, and customer service centers throughout the country.
