Xiaomi's latest UI MIUI 9 is ready to hit its devices this year. Xiaomi has known for providing regular updates to all its devices in all specs ranges. Xiaomi MIUI 8 has been released to all devices even Redmi 1S. Xiaomi has developed MIUI 8 based on all the three versions of Android - Kitkat, Lollipop and Marshmallow. Xiaomi has released the version of MIUI 8 based on the device specifications.
For example, Redmi 1S received MIUI 8 update which is based on Android 4.4 Kitkat. Redmi 2 Prime received the same update which based on Android 5 Lollipop. Redmi Note 3 received the update which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
This time, Xiaomi is not providing the new update MIUI 9 that is based on Android 7.0 Nougat to all of its devices according to the latest report. Xiaomi is restricting the new update only to high-end phones that have at least 3 GB RAM.
