Motorola launched Moto Z six months back in June 2016 which sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 5.5-inch QHD display. Today, a new variant of Moto Z probably 2017 edition spotted on Geekbench which suggests that the new Moto Z is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
As per the Geekbench listing, the model number indicates XT1650 and could be the 2017 edition. Motorola XT1650 sports 1.9 GHz Octa Core Qualcomm MSM8998 SOC chipset which is a Snapdragon 835 processor backed by 4 GB of RAM and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is yet to be powered in any flagship device. Samsung Galaxy S8 will be the first device to sport the Snapdragon 835 processor. Other mobiles which sport the same processor include LG G6, Xiaomi Mi6, Xiaomi Mix Evo.
Snapdragon 835 processor comes with the latest 10nm technology which makes the phones more thinner relatively and ultimately makes the devices lighter.
Motorola have not yet revealed the possible launch details of Moto Z (2017)
