Samsung Electronic Co.Ltd said that it will not unveil the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone at Mobile world congress (MWC) in Barcelona to be held on February 26.
After Samsung Galaxy S7 fiasco speculations are high about the next flagship device from the south Korean Giant that is Samsung Galaxy S8. It is expected Samsung to come out with rather unique specs for Galaxy S8. Also, it is expected Samsung to release the Samsung Galaxy S8 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
However, to the disappointment of many, the company has now made an announcement that new flagship device won't be unveiled at MWC indicating the release later in the year than its 2016 version.
Samsung Mobile Chief Koh Dog-Jin said that the phone would not get a launch event on February 27 at MWC in Barcelona, unlike the earlier Galaxy S smartphones. He did not mention when the company planned to launch the new flagship device since the failure of Galaxy S7 in October due to safety issues.In the previous Mobile World Congress in February 2016 Samsung showed of Galaxy S7 on the sidelines of the event.
