TCS Chief Natarajan Chandrasekaran is the New Tata Sons Chairman

Natarajan Chandrasekharran the CEO and Managing director of Tata Consultancy Services was appointed as the new chairman of Tata sons the holding company that controls $100 billion conglomerate. He will succeed Cyrus Mistry who was ousted earlier. He is expected to take charge on February 21. Chandrasekharan also serves on the board of Central Bank.

A 5 member panel was constituted in October to shortlist the candidates for the Top Job.The elite panel included Ratan Tata himself ,TVS Chairman Venu Srinivasan, Bain Capital’s Amit Chandra, former diplomat Ronen Sen and Kumar Bhattacharyya of Warwick University. 


Chandrasekharan is a masters degree holder in computer applications from Regional Engineering College, Trichy in Tamil Nadu and joined TCS in 1987 and became the CEO of TCS in 2009.Ratan Tata is expected to be the chairman Emeritus as he held previously.
