BSNL launches new data add-ons to offer 15GB data for Rs 549 and 8GB data for Rs 290; Revises existing unlimited data add-ons

State-run telecom operator BSNL revised the data add-on packs for its postpaid mobile customers. Along with revision of existing add-ons, BSNL has also introduced new data add-on packs offering more data as a special offer.

New Data Add-on Rs 549: Offers 15GB data (6GB + 9GB as a special offer)
New Data Add-on RS 290:  Offers 8GB data (3GB + 5GB as a special offer)

BSNL revised the existing data add-on packs to offer extra free usage. Following are the add-on packs revised and the details of the offer.

Data Add-on Rs 50: Offers 500MB data
Data Add-on Rs 75: Offers 1000MB data
Data Add-on Rs 170: Offers 2GB data
Data Add-on Rs 225: Offers 4GB data.
Data Add-on Rs 501: Offers 10GB data

BSNL is also offering unlimited data on Rs 666, Rs 901 and Rs1711 monthly packs which offer 9GB, 15GB, and 20 GB respectively. The speed will be throttled to 128 Kbps after exhausting the allocated data.

BSNL has also launched some cheaper unlimited data add-on packs for Rs 240 and Rs 340 to allow 3GB and 5GB data respectively wherein the speed will be reduced to 80Kbps after exhausting the allotted data.

To recall all the recent telecom offers, Bharathi  Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone have come up with new plans to counter Reliance Jio. Vodafone launched new bundle packs dubbed Vodafone Red for its postpaid customers. Idea Cellular also launched a new plan that offers unlimited 3G/4G data for one hour. Airtel has launched 3GB 4G data for 12 months for  Airtel customers switching to the 4G network.

BSNL has launched STV149 & STV 439 to offer unlimited voice calling for new and MNP prepaid users. BSNL also introduced STV 26 to offer unlimited calling for 26 hours.
