Lenovo to shed Vibe lineup to focus on "Lenovo Moto" brand: Report

Lenovo is finding it hard to revive its smartphone business as it is facing loss and lost the Top 5 position globally. Lenovo bought Motorola mobility business from Google in 2014 but failed at its best to integrate Motorola into Lenovo. The two businesses faced internal competition to lose out to Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo in overall sales.

In a recent move to revamp the smartphone business, Lenovo has decided to put an end to the less intense brands like Vibe series phones and aiming to sell all its smartphones under one umbrella. In this process, Lenovo and Motorola will be rebranded to Lenovo Moto.

There will be several glitches if Lenovo put forth Lenovo Moto brand for smartphone business. The first one to face is losing the loyal Moto fans. Where Lenovo hasn't created a promising impact among its users, there Moto succeeded in creating a fan base.

A few weeks back Lenovo reported that the company failed immensely to utilize Motorola brand and Motorola obviously hadn't helped Lenovo.

Lenovo is yet to announce officially on Vibe and Moto brands but it is likely that Lenovo is shedding of fruitless brands owing to flourish in the future.
