Vodafone launches new RC 346 to offer 28 GB 4G/3G and unlimited local and STD calling for 28 days

Vodafone has come up with a blockbuster offer to combat Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel wherein the users get 1GB of 4G/3G data per day for complete 28 days on recharging with Rs 346 tariff plan. Along with the data benefits, users can also enjoy unlimited local and STD calling to any network in India. The only catch on calling is that there is a daily cap of 300 minutes.

Vodafone's new tariff plan is a bang up response to Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel who came up with similar offerings recently. Jio offers the same tariff at Rs 303 whereas Airtel offers half the data what Vodafone and Jio offered at Rs 349.

Idea Cellular is the only top telco left in the race to offer any kind of cheaper data plan. As Mukesh Ambani stated during the press conference that Jio will at any cost offer 20% more than any other rival telcos in the market. Looking into the changing scenario, Jio is being pressurized by the rest of the telcos to consolidate the new tariff plans. Jio if failed to consolidate will equate with the offerings made by Vodafone.

Telecom industry these days is undergoing drastic changes wherein the revenue model has been so much modified that voice calls are no more revenue engines. With the 5G technology yet to go for an action, data war will intensify further and customers are the ultimate beneficiaries.
