After making giant strides in the telecom space, Reliance Jio has now turned its attention towards Cable T.V and aiming for the top spot with its Jio TV app which now has 432 live channels across 15 regional languages. Apart from it, Hotstar premium service is now available for Jio TV users opening a gamut of content options for the users.
Initially, Jio has started the service with 200 channels across six languages, and with in no time, the number of thas increased rapidly. The telco has plans of taking on the cable TV and DTH operators next.
currently, Jio TV has ten categories that are divided across eight business news channels, 31 devotional channels, 100 entertainment channels, 27 infotainment channels, 23 kids Channels,12 lifestyle channels, 38 movie channels, 34 music channels,139 news channels, and 20 sports channels.
Bharathi Airtel has also been providing a host of content services to its users. Vodafone and idea are newbies in the sector and has just made their entry. India's third largest telecom sector Idea have over 112 channels, whereas Vodafone has over 70 channels respectively.
Mukesh Ambani-run Jio has tie-ups with Eros Now for its Jio Cinema app whereas Airtel has the association with Eros Now, HOOQ, Sony LIV, and other services.
