The messaging app arena is getting hotter these days, and Facebook and Google have gained a remarkable position and user base on this platform. Now, it seems a new entrant has already signed to get into action. It is none other than Amazon who is famous for the e-commerce market place and some remarkable gadgets like Fire Stick, Eco devices.
The e-commerce giant, Amazon is soon launching a messaging app, Anytime which is different from existing apps like Whatsapp or Hangouts in many ways. According to the story by AFTVnews, Amazon is working on this app for Android, iOS, and desktop that have few twists on the regular formula.
Apart from the message encryption, Video, Voice, and stickers, the app is likely to have few hooks making it easier to sign up and join the group chats.
Unlike the Whatsapp which uses your phone number for the sake of identity, Amazon's Anytime will use a name similar to twitter for the identity of the user. The users will have to use @ mentions like the Twitter to locate his friends or family. Other exciting functions include-
- You can color-code important chats to identify the most important ones
- Group music listening and food ordering
- Chatting with businesses for shopping or customer service
Amazon had already existed in the similar business with its Echo and Chime which are voice based AI and Business video conference services respectively.
