To ease out the delivery services, the e-commerce giant, Amazon has come with yet another innovation. This time it is the "Hub" which can be installed at condos, apartment buildings and complexes for people who live there.

Amazon previously had lockers at various public locations which can be used to receive parcels, but its latest offering is for multi-tenant residences where it is difficult to deliver packages due to lack of concierge or frequently open management offices.

Once installed, any person can use it receive the parcels from any retailer and even from your friends or relatives. The 'Hub' can be accessed using a passcode on the touchscreen panel. Then the corresponding door in the 'Hub' will be opened and the package can be taken.


Amazon says that the 'Hub' can be accessed for delivery by all carriers.'Hub' is available in two options that are made for indoor and outdoor in four colour options. The sizes measure six feet wide, that has 42 compartments. You can additionally add an expansion module to increase the number of compartments to additional 23.

The pricing of the 'Hub' at the time of writing this article is still unclear. The interested ones can fill out the form mentioning the details of the address. As of now, the 'Hub' is available in the US only.
