Xiaomi seems to be working on a new variant of the Xiaomi Mi Mix named Mix EVO as indicated in the specifications image. Xiaomi Mi Mix was launched in November 2016 in China. The phone is a bezel-less (edgeless) phone and received a good response from the users. Mi Mix sports Snapdragon 821 SoC, 6GB RAM, 6.4-inch 2K display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
Until today, it was thought Xiaomi would release its first phone with the latest Snapdragon 835 processor with Mi 6. As report leaked on benchmarking site Geekbench, Mix EVO will be the first phone with the latest Snapdragon 835 processor. The images leaked also shows the specifications of the phone.
Specifications of Xiaomi Mix EVO
The phone comes with an Octa-core chip with a frequency of 1.9GHz and is backed by 4GB of RAM. The motherboard model, MSM8998 indicates that the processor should be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.
In the benchmark results, the Xiaomi Mix EVO have scored 1938 points in the single-core test and 5689 on the multi-core test.
Snapdragon 835 chipset is not yet featured on any release phone. Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to sport this chipset followed by Xiaomi Mi6 or Xiaomi Mix EVO.
