State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigham Limited (BSNL) today announced a new data offers which offer 1 GB for as low as Rs 36 under two special packs.
BSNL has decided to offer four times extra data on existing STVs (Special tariff vouchers) available in the market.
Details of the new data STVs
STV 291: Offers 8 GB 3G data for a validity of 28 days (earlier 4GB)
STV 78: Offers 2 GB 3G data for a validity of 5 days (earlier 1GB)
With these offerings, BSNL is offering the lowest price for 1GB available in the market. Other private operators also brought the cost of 1 GB to as low as Rs50 to compete Reliance Jio's free offering till March 2017.
It is expected that BSNL will continue to bring more and more offers for unlimited calling and low-cost data services.
To recall all the recent telecom offers, Bharathi Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone have come up with new plans to counter Reliance Jio. Vodafone launched new bundle packs dubbed Vodafone Red for its postpaid customers. Idea Cellular also launched a new plan that offers unlimited 3G/4G data for one hour. Airtel has launched 3GB 4G data for 12 months for Airtel customers switching to the 4G network.
BSNL has launched STV149 & STV 439 to offer unlimited voice calling for postpaid customers. BSNL also introduced STV 26 to offer unlimited calling for 26 hours.
