Uber India Launces UberHire, a Time-based Uber that’s Available On-demand in 9 Cities

Uber India today launched UberHire, a car hiring service across many cities in India. UberHire is a time-based service that is available on demand. UberHire lets you hire the cabs to travel around the city and the Uber will wait for you.

UberHire was first launched in Kochi as a pilot project. After the successful pilot run, UberHire now is going live in  New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Vizag and Nagpur. More cities are slated for launch soon. Unlike other Uber services, UberHire works on cash payments

How UberHire works:

- Open your Uber app and slide over to UberHIRE
- Set your pickup location and request your ride
- Your Uber will be at your service. You will see your driver’s details straight away, along with the details of your car
- At the end of your trip, your total fare is calculated based on the distance and duration of your trip. You can pay in cash and receive an e-receipt

The fares vary from city to city. The following are the city wise fare details.
