These Vertical forest buildings are the solution to rising pollution levels in China

Global warming has taken a giant leap in recent times due to high rise in pollution levels attributed to increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. China's pollution has increased manifold and recently airborne pollutants reached 100 times the safe limit in many regions. Particulate matter level in Shijiazhuang, the capital of northern Hebei province recorded 2.5 levels hitting 1,000 micrograms per cubic meter. According to the world health organization(WHO),  the normal levels are 10 micrograms per cubic meter. Now it seems an Italian Architect Stefano Boeri could provide the solution to the china's pollution problems.

According to the latest information, the Chinese city of Nanjing will be getting a vertical forest. This includes two buildings completely covered with 1100 trees and a combination of 2500 shrubs and plants. Nanjing will be the third city after Milan (Italy), and Rosanna (Switzerland) to get a vertical forest

Apart from the appearance, Nanjing towers will absorb carbon dioxide that is enough to make 132 pounds(60 kilograms) of oxygen every day. The vertical forest project is scheduled to complete by next year. Nanjing has air quality index of 167 that is categorized as unhealthy. If you look at other cities like Newyork and Sydney have moderate indexes of around 60. London has an air quality index of 100 and is placed between moderate and unhealthy.

According to Italian publication living, the towers will measure 354 feet (107 meters) and 656 feet(199 meters) tall. In the smaller building contains Hyatt hotel whereas the taller building is said to house a museum. Apart from Nanjing Boeri has set plans to build similar structures in  Chongqing, Shijiazhuang, Liuzhou, Guizhou and Shanghai.
