Indian handset maker today launched the world's first VoLTE (Voice over LTE) feature phone - Lava 4G Connect M1 which is priced at Rs 3333 ($49).
Lava 4G Connect M1 combines the experience of the smartphone and the durability, battery backup characteristics of the feature phone. Apart from the 4G LTE connectivity, Lava 4G Connect M1 supports 2G and EDGE connectivity.

Lava 4G Connect M1 will be available in several retail stores and multi-brand outlets across India.
We also reported that Reliance Jio is working on a VoLTE feature phone which is expected to come in much cheaper price - Rs 1000 ($15)
Reliance Jio is reported to use Spreadtrum chipsets for its 4G VoLTE feature phones. The company said it is in talks with Qualcomm and MediaTek for low-cost 4G LTE enabled processors.
