Idea cellular has today revised Rs 348 plan to offer 1GB data per day and unlimited local and STD calls with a validity of 28 days. The revised plan is also applicable to 4G handset users. Earlier Idea has offered unlimited voice calls and only 500 MB per day for the same plan. The move comes in the wake of Reliance jio announcing the extension of the last date for enrollment of Jio prime membership until April 15.
In addition, Mukesh Ambani announced "Jio Summer surprise offer", for those enrolling for jio prime membership for Rs 99 along with the initial purchase of Rs 303 or other higher plans. Jio Summer surprise offer which is the extension of already existing Happy New Year offer. However, unlike Happy new year offer, Jio prime members must do a recharge of Rs 303 or higher.

The prime members will be offered 1GB data per day, unlimited local and STD calls and 100 SMS per day for three more months. Prime members can also enjoy free access to jio suite of apps. They will be charged for services only after the expiry of the three months of complimentary services in July.

.The rival telecom operators like Bharathi Airtel and Vodafone are already offering similar plans for their prepaid customers. Bharathi Airtel is offering 1GB data per day coupled with unlimited local and STD calls for Rs 345. However, 1GB data will be available as 500 MB in the day time and 500 MB in the night time.
Vodafone has launched RC 346 plan to offer 28 GB 4G data(1GB data per day) and unlimited calling with a validity of 28 days. The state-run telecom operator BSNL has earlier revised STV 339 to offer 56 GB 3G data that translates to 2GB data per day and unlimited local and STD calls to BSNL. For calls made to other networks, there is a daily FUP limit of 25 minutes. After 25 minutes the calls will be charged 25 paise per minute.
