Xiaomi Mi Max 2 to sport snapdragon 626 SoC, sony IMX378 Sensor and priced between 1499 and 1699 Yuan

Xiaomi is tipped to launch Mi 6 this month and we are well aware of the specifications that have surfaced via various leaks. Now Xiaomi is also planning to launch another smartphone Mi Max 2 that is the successor to Mi Max released last year. Xiaomi has been gaining popularity day by day and recently has emerged as the most preferred smartphone upgrade in India going past Apple and Samsung. Earlier we have reported the specifications of Mi Max 2 along with the probable launch date. Now a new rumor surfaced that offers key insights about the specifications of Mi Max2.

According to the latest information, Mi Max 2 will not come with snapdragon 660 SoC. Instead, the device is said to sport snapdragon 626 SoC. Snapdragon 626 SoC is the successor to snapdragon 625 SoC and offers a 10% increase in performance than the snapdragon 625 SoC. The new processor also offers support to dual cameras and will retain the benefits of power and battery saving qualities of snapdragon 625 SoC.This is in contradiction to the earlier rumor where in Mi Max 2 was tipped to sport snapdragon 660 SoC.

It is said that Mi Max 2 will come with a major camera upgrade and will sport 12MP Sony IMX378 sensor similar to Mi 5S. Further,  the camera sensor is said to come with larger aperture for better camera effect. Coming to the front facing camera, Mi Max 2 will sport a 5 MP sensor. As per the earlier rumors, Mi Max 2 will sport a bigger 5000 mAh battery that is a slight upgrade from the 4,850 mAh in Mi Max.Earlier rumors also hinted Mi Max 2 to sport 6.44-inch display with 1080 pixel resolution.

The device is said to be powered by 6GB RAM and 4GB RAM for the standard version.Mi Max 2 is said to run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. According to the source, Mi Max 2 may vary slightly and may fall between 1499 Yuan and 1699 Yuan.
