Earlier specs like camera quality, display size, and screen resolution are the leading features that users looked in while purchasing a smartphone. The trend seems to have changed now with the entry of 4G LTE network. Motorola received 7 percent of votes as the next smartphone brand followed by Lenovo and One plus with 6%.Interestingly Micromax occupied last on the list and received a meager 2% of votes. Strategy analytics further stated that with Nokia set to enter the Indian market between April and June that will be cause for concern for some brands like Micromax, Sony, LG, Lenovo and Motorola.

Further, the survey revealed that majority of smartphone users in India prefer to buy smartphones priced between Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000. Only 6% of the users opted for high-end phones that cost more than Rs 35,000
