After bringing all the Xiaomi devices under MIUI 9, Xiaomi is now adding extra features to upgrade the user experience further. The latest MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM (v8.3.29) will also bring some minor improvements to the UI.
The Chinese giant, with the latest update, totally revamped the Mi Music app, which now is no more only offline music player. Xiaomi has integrated Hungama music and brought more online content through collaboration. On top of all, the Xiaomi phone buyers will be getting a 12-month free subscription to the Hungama Music.
The other major improvement comes in the display department. As the latest Redmi phones support 18:9 display, Xiaomi has now brought the support for the themes to these devices by optimizing the MIUI 9 themes.
The third and final major update is that Xiaomi has renamed its direct apps feature to Quick apps, which are commonly called as Progressive Web Apps. These apps are regular web pages and appear to the users as traditional apps. This feature eliminates the need for downloading the app from the store. Apart from these, Xiaomi has fixed some minor to major bugs through the update.
