Railway Minister Suresh prabhu flags off free Wi-Fi service at secunderabad and Hyderabad stations

Railway minister Suresh Prabhu flags off free Wi-Fi service at Secunderabad and Hyderabad railway stations in Telangana state. The service will enable users to avail free Wi-Fi facility will be available at stations across the country.Suresh Prabhu along with Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and MP K Kavita inaugurated the service via video conferencing from Delhi.

Earlier this week Prabhu 200 stations will be enabled with free Wi-Fi  facility by the end of 2017.




The service will likewise support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India campaign and his endeavors for a cashless economy as you can pay for even two cups of tea at railway stations through m-wallets or Paytm. More often than not individuals attempt to keep away from online payment on account of less network or inappropriate internet connectivity at stations, yet this service will enable them to pay carefully and convey less money amid their travel.

The free Wi-Fi service at the railway stations was first rolled out  at New Delhi railway station in December 2014 and  Prabhu termed the internet a ‘new necessity’ of today’s era at the time of launch event
